Care Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 39 years. It currently works in 60 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work in the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; migration and urbanization; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls’ leadership. 1. Job Position: CCA Mainstreaming Associate
Key responsibilities:
The CCA Mainstreaming Associate will primarily lead the overall program planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting adaptation plan mainstreaming work in different districts focusing on mainstreaming of LAPA and ISWMP prepared in the first phase. S/he will also provide support to other cluster team (s) on need and priority basis. S/he will also be responsible for networking and organizing at community, Rural Municipality/Municipality, sub/watershed and river sub-basin level collaborating with local governments, line agencies and other projects/programs working in the district.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
At least Bachelor’s degree in forestry, agriculture, environmental science or relevant subject with at least 3 years of working experience particularly climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction and watershed management, NRM governance, GESI and governance sector.

2. Job Position: Research Assistants
Key responsibilities:
The Research Assistants will play the supporting role in the joint research project between CARE Nepal and the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia on the issues of Disaster Justice in selected Rural Municipalities of Gorkha district. This joint research initiative is supported as part of CARE’s EQ Response and Recovery program and focuses on gender justice related issues. S/he will work with the Research Manager/ EQ R&R Manager/Coordinator to implement the research methodologies and tools to collect data, write and consolidate field notes and write regular field reports; also feedback and submissions on relevant external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Intermediate Degree who have strong social research skills with at least one year of working experince. Experience of collecting and consolidating earthquake related data from affected areas and some affiliation with response and recovery projects
